Eastwood House

Eastwood residence graces the idyllic locale of Leigh-On-Sea. The proposal entailed a comprehensive overhaul of the existing house, evolving it into a grand, singular abode. Originally resembling a barn, the house had been amalgamated over time from two semi-detached dwellings into one, resulting in a fragmented and impractical internal layout. The redesign, orchestrated by Studio INTEGRATE, embarked on a journey to modernise the structure while honouring the area's distinctive character and fulfilling the unique desires of the owners.

Significant alterations to both the internal and external volumes necessitated a planning application, which garnered unanimous approval from the planning committee. The transformed house boasts additional extensions at the rear and within the loft space, altering the height and geometry of the main roof.

The resulting design features a capacious open-plan living area, ideal for family gatherings, along with a private office, five ensuite bedrooms, and entertainment space in the loft. Two kitchens cater to the household's culinary needs, with one serving as the primary kitchen complemented by a discreet secondary kitchen for most cooking activities. These spaces, along with utility rooms, are seamlessly interconnected via hidden cabinet doors.

The master bedroom, positioned on the first floor, is distinguished by a magnificent 6-meter-high vaulted ceiling and a sprawling ensuite that spans an entire wing of the loft space. An expansive curtain wall links the master bedroom to its private terrace, providing a serene outdoor retreat.

Externally, the residence boasts spacious front and rear gardens, accommodating pedestrian and vehicular access, parking spaces, a sunken seating area, a dedicated play zone for children, and lush greenery, completing the harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetics.
