Smart Shelter:
we believe that our approach represents a disruptive innovation for medium to long-term shelter structures for crisis relief. This capacity is currently met in a limited capacity and does not fulfill European and global demands.

Design Process
1. Innovative Fabrication Processes
This involves using advanced manufacturing technologies such as 3D printing, CNC machining, robotic assembly, or digital fabrication methods like parametric design and generative algorithms. These processes enable designers to create complex forms, intricate patterns, and custom components that would be difficult or impossible to achieve using traditional techniques.
2. Exploration of Materials
Designers may experiment with unconventional materials or sustainable alternatives to traditional wood, metal, or plastic. This could include bio-based materials, recycled or upcycled resources, composites, or even advanced materials like carbon fiber or graphene. By leveraging the properties of these materials, designers can create furniture that is lightweight, durable, and environmentally friendly.
3. Functional Innovation
Beyond aesthetics, groundbreaking furniture design often prioritizes functionality and user experience. This could involve incorporating smart technology, modular components, or multifunctional features that adapt to the needs of modern living spaces. For example, furniture pieces with built-in storage, adjustable configurations, or integrated lighting and charging capabilities.
4. Form Exploration
Designers may explore unconventional shapes, structures, and geometries inspired by nature, architecture, or abstract concepts. By pushing the boundaries of form, they can create visually striking furniture pieces that serve as focal points within interior spaces while also challenging traditional notions of what furniture should look like.
5. Sustainability and Circular Design
There is a growing emphasis on sustainability in furniture design, with designers seeking to minimize waste, energy consumption, and environmental impact throughout the manufacturing process. This may involve designing for disassembly, using recyclable or biodegradable materials, and adopting circular design principles to extend the lifespan of furniture and reduce resource consumption.

R&D: Smart Shelter
Smart Shelter's major value proposition to our customer is that it will fulfil a technological need for medium to large scale structures which is a need currently underserved. It’s highly advantageous technical specification will allow humanitarian aid agencies to rapidly deploy tailor designed infrastructure and community structures to complement innovative advancements in individual buildings. Specifically, it will create long lifetime (5 yrs+) modular structures which can be repurposed as the requirements of a region adjust through the recovery period. Liteform is primarily positioned to humanitarian aid agency and first response governmental bodies (emergency services etc) where lightweight, rapidly deployable structures are required in day-to-day operations.
Smart Shelter aims to address this challenge by providing a new innovative solution to bridge the gap between PVC tent and container unit. Liteform project introduces a novel rapidly deployable, lightweight modular shelter. It is a structure made of the next generation foam composite, which is scalable (from 20m2-200m2) extremely durable (5 years+ in harsh environments) and boasts passive internal climatic control, ventilation, and lighting.
